Sometimes at first (or second, or ninth) glance, a film, show, play, book or band just doesn’t click with you. My big one was Styx. I thought they had some decent songs, but were some relatively bland arena rock. Then I not only paid attention to the lyrics of Blue Collar Man, a song about the plight of the unemployed and working poor, but saw them in concert as a double header with Yes. They blew me away and I am now, and will forever be, a Styx fan. So to paraphrase the great Tim Minchin, what grew on you like a tumor, spread through you like malignant melanoma and now is in your heart?
